The Schwindamans were married on October 3, 2020 in a beautiful ceremony at Central Community Church's brand new chapel in Wichita, Kansas. Their families and closest friends continued to celebrate their love at Wichita's sky-high venue, the Petroleum Club.
We asked Patrick and Hayley to share a little of their love story and what it was like to plan a wedding during a global pandemic! Read below to find out how they met, how Pat proposed, and see for yourself why these two hold a special place in our hearts!
"Patrick & I first met in June of 2017 when I was working at Orangetheory and he was a member. We then reconnected through a very close mutual friend. It took me almost an entire year to get him to officially date me! LOL. He finally asked me to be his girlfriend in May 2018. I think its safe to say we both knew shortly after that that we would be together forever. We are both our happiest and best selves when we are together, no matter what we are doing."
They began getting ready in the morning, at two of their favorite places. The girls popped the champagne to kick off a day filled with love, laughter, and the coolest people!
The couple dressed at the chapel, and exchanged sweet notes, as their first of many as husband and wife.
Patrick and Hayley decided they wanted to maximize their time for photos, so they chose to do a first look. As you can see, there wasn't a dry eye in the house! Tim and I may or may not have been wiping away tears as we witnessed these two share their first moments together on their wedding day...they're just the sweetest!
Hayley even had a first look with her dad - and everybody was crying!!
Peep the window in the background of those pictures for a special surprise. We love this group!
Their ceremony was just as emotional, and everyone who witnessed it was moved by the love these two share.
Patrick and Hayley left us some more time after the ceremony to grab a few more shots of the gang in the chapel and one of our favorite spots in Riverside. Everybody was so fun and really made our job so easy!
Their reception was a full on BASH! There were toasts reminding everyone that Pat was a west sider who taught yoga (hence the title of this blog, ha!), there were choreographed dances, and there was even the biggest Fireball chair we've ever seen!! These two and their squad know how to parrrrrtayyyyyy!
It's easy to see why these two are one of our favorite couples! We are so grateful they chose us to not only photograph their wedding day, but also to be friends for life!
Here's what the new Mr. & Mrs. had to say about their experience with us:
"Our wedding vendors, especially Tim & Lizzy, were the glue that held everything together. Leading up to the wedding, getting to know Tim & Lizzy personally was so much fun and it truly made the biggest difference on our big day. They helped us make sure we had everything we wanted. We felt known and cared for all day long and everything was perfectly orchestrated because of it! Getting to call them our friends post-wedding is just a bonus. And now we have a family photographer that we know and love for life!"
We really do have the best job ever!
